The inevitable COVID-19 post. (I'm open!)

Interesting times... Now that restrictions are easing somewhat, I'd like to assure you that: I'm still open. I've been open this whole time, but it seemed irresponsible to be chasing people to come in during the worst of the pandemic.

I've also decided to significantly change my business model. I've been thinking about this for a long time, and am now offering a subscription service with greatly reduced pricing. In the past I've asked people to come in more often and then step down to a monthly schedule, but it seems to me that a monthly schedule is often enough to make good progress in most cases. I also have a plan with two treatments per month, details are below.

Why change to a subscription model? I want my acupuncture and treatment to be a regular part of your life, not an occasional thing. I also want to have more time with you so that we can do deeper work than can be done with a few sessions over a month or two, or with 5 or 6 sessions per year. For example, I offer an array of additional teaching and therapies that take a little time to explore:

  • Breath training for stress and pain relief (as well as better breathing in general!)

  • Gait and posture correction

  • Bodywork with massage and movement practice

  • Neuro-Flexibility training and PNF (Proprioceptive Neuro-Facilitated) stretching

  • Myofascial release work

  • Neuromuscular coordination practice

  • Kampo (Japanese Herbalism)

  • Self-massage and self-treatment

  • Russian strength and mobility conditioning

Subscribe for $65 and you'll receive one treatment session per month (usually $100), more advice and homework than you could possibly want, and support over phone, video chat, email. To really get on top of things, two sessions per month is $120 instead of $200. When you're a subscriber, any additional sessions you may need in a given month will also be $65. Subscribers also get access to online scheduling, so you can make appointments without even having to talk to me.

The Monthly Maintenance Programme is six treatments over six months; the Intensive Programme is six treatments over 3 months. I may not have thought of everything with these programmes, but they can be cancelled any time, you can move appointments around to fit in with whatever travel or work needs come up (remember travel? going to other places? on aeroplanes?). The plans give us enough time to make some pretty impressive changes, and they're bloody cheap for what I offer.

This is a service I can only consider offering from my home clinic in Marrickville, because I don't have to pay clinic rent there (just my mortgage!). There's no contract, no hidden fees, no change to your health fund rebates, just an offer of more treatment, more often, with a little bit less to think about. All the details are on the website, please have a look and please, let me know what you think. I haven't been able to find any other practitioners doing something similar, so I've had to invent a lot of this model.

Go to https://www.timclearyclinic.com/plans-pricing for the info. Call, email, talk to me in the street. Let's help you feel, move, live better.

** My current pricing of $100 per one-hour treatment or $50 per half-hour will still be available. Please consider subscribing so that we can really get to the bottom of things. **

Death, Taxes and Price Rises

It's happened. My costs have gone up enough that I have to put up my prices. More accurately, I have to roll back part of the discount that I've been applying since I started my subscription model at
